It depends on the kind of work which you are trying to accomplish through your blog.
Once there was a time when fewer people knew about the amazon affiliate marketing and other affiliate programs. Now many people try to create their blogs and promote them through social media. The more people indulge in a certain activity the higher the competition is. I don't mean to discourage you from affiliate marketing but just trying to inform you that it is not so easy now.

1. Spend a few hours researching on the internet. Find a few topics or niche related terms which are new but people search for them.
2. Always search for the trends which the people follow. Start writing on them to attract people attention.
3. The faster you will write the new high-quality searchable content on the internet, the more benefit you can gain from it.
4. Use software to find out the latest trends. Use popular softwares like google trends, Ahrefs, Moz etc.
5. Blog daily. It's better to write a blog around 500 to 600 words daily.
6. Choose a niche and produce related content so that customer can kind what he/she is looking for.
7. Be specific about your content. Example if you are selling amazon products then create a niche around them. Like I am using the blogger to promote the amazon gift items because the blogger is about selling gift items.
